A note for the in-between
on the fertility of the void
As the year begins to soften around the edges, I wanted to send a gentle invitation to meet this moment exactly as it is.
The days between Christmas and the New Year have always felt different to me. Not an ending. Not a beginning. Something liminal. A pause where the usual rules loosen their grip and time feels a little more nebulous.
In Human Design, there is a similar in-between space that has always fascinated me. The period between your design birth date and your personality birth date. Beginning roughly three months before your birthday. A clearing window. A reset. A time when the body sheds what it no longer needs to carry forward. Less about becoming. More about making space.
I have a theory that we collectively experience something similar each year as well.
Astrologically, the year does not truly begin on January 1st. The new cycle arrives when the Sun enters Aries, around the 19th or 20th of March. Astrology is, at its core, cycles upon cycles upon cycles. If we follow that logic, late December becomes the beginning of our collective liminal space. The threshold between what has been and what is still forming.
And this year, that threshold may feel especially alive.
2025 has been a year of big change, purging, and realignment for many. A year that firmly asked us to confront what was no longer sustainable. Old identities. Old roles. Old ways of working and relating that once made sense, but slowly stopped feeling true. When that much shedding has already occurred, the in-between does not feel neutral. It feels charged.
This is important to name, because liminal space is often misunderstood.
When it feels like nothing is happening, it is easy to assume we are stuck, behind, or losing momentum. But in truth, this is often where the most profound transformation is underway.
In Human Design, we see this clearly through the lens of individual circuitry. This is the circuitry of mutation and evolution. But that mutation does not always move through big gestures or dramatic action. In fact, the biggest mutation occurs in the quiet shifts. Through inner rewiring. Through changes occurring below the surface long before they ever become visible in the world.
This time is a reminder that all external change is born from internal change first.
The void is not empty. It is fertile. It is ripe. It is alive with unseen movement.
You might feel more tired than usual. More inward. Less interested in pushing ahead. Or strangely emotional without a clear understanding of why. This is not a problem to solve. It is often a sign that something new is organising itself within you, asking not for effort, but for space. For trust. For restraint.
Right now, the Moon is waxing, in the first quarter phase. Light is growing. Information is gathering. This is not a time to force big resolutions or demand certainty. It is a time for small, intentional action. One gentle step. One honest decision. Something that supports movement without overriding your nervous system.
The coming week is especially fertile for reflection and closure. Taking stock. Feeling what wants to stay, and what is truly complete. Action may be present here, but it wants to be paired with listening. With discernment. With the understanding that clarity often follows space, not the other way around.
One of the most supportive ways to work with this window is through physical clearing.
Cleaning cupboards. Letting go of clothes you no longer wear. Tidying desks, desktops, folders, and filing systems. Clearing out phone contacts or social spaces that feel finished. These acts are not just practical. They are energetic signals. They say, I am available. I am refining. I am choosing what comes with me.
You do not need to know exactly who you are becoming in 2026. Space comes first. Emergence follows.
If you feel drawn to it, I have begun sharing a series here on the Astrology of 2026, starting with:
There are more pieces in this series to come for paid subscribers as we move closer to the new cycle, and I am deeply grateful to be exploring this terrain alongside you.
Before I close, a gentle note for those who feel the call to deepen their Human Design practice in a more intimate way.
In 2026, for the first time, I will be offering small group Human Design mentoring for those who have studied the foundations and now want to go deeper and develop their mastery. This is a six-month journey, intentionally small, set by time zone, and carefully curated.
I have designed this for the ones who value depth over speed, integration over accumulation, and relationship over performance. Together, we will bridge gaps and connect missing pieces, so that you can feel truly safe and secure in your practice.
We will work slowly and deliberately, weaving Human Design into lived experience, leadership, and business, rather than keeping it theoretical or separate from real life.
These spaces include my mentoring and guidance, alongside a private group WhatsApp for connection between calls.
If this kind of slow, guided integration speaks to you, you can join the waitlist here.
For now, let this be a softer week. An in-between week. A time to trust that even when it looks still on the surface, something meaningful is taking shape.
Thank you for being here, for reading, for lingering.
With love,
Amy

This is exactly what I needed to read after what I can only describe as the worst week of 2025 for me. x
Warm Holiday Wishes Amy!
This was sweet.
